TRAVELING AROUND MEXICO

From July 1st to July 26th

isummerMx is a program designed for international students who love traveling and learning about new cultures.

Discover three of the most iconic states in Mexico, visit the capital Mexico-City, go to the amazing and modern Monterrey, walk through historic places at Puebla, and choose to make everlasting memories in beautiful places.

During their stay in Mexico, students will have the opportunity to live four weeks on three different campuses. They will experience and learn about different parts of the country. Each campus has special activities, and several trips, that will make their experience unforgettable!


Mexico City
Located in the southern part of Mexico City, a true contemporary megalopolis filled with contrasts, characterized by a variety of museums, theatres, cinemas, festivals and entertainment, hard to find anywhere else, Mexico City Campus is the second largest campus of Tecnológico de Monterrey with approximately 8000 enrolled students each semester. Our campus is built in a space of more than 60 acres, in which students can find the perfect combination modern buildings and large green areas in a controlled environment, making our campus an oasis in the middle of one of the biggest cities of the world. 
We aim to provide students with a complete experience, granting a state of the art infrastructure.  Everything required to fulfill our students needs is available: library, access to digital resources, a fully equipped gym with personal trainers available at all times, free sports and cultural activities, indoors and outdoors recreational areas, etc. We also encourage all our students to live and learn by our core values: innovation, global vision, team work, human sense, and integrity.    Our global vision help our students boosts their skills, their vision and ability to respond to globalization, competitiveness and modern life’s needs.

Puebla
Campus Puebla, located in one of the best districts of the city, 
opened its doors in 2003. On 25 hectares, you find 4 buildings with classrooms,
 offices, and the Convention Center and Technology Park. All facilities are 
equipped with state of the art technology. Additionally, there are two 
auditoriums, a cafeteria, a library, a copy shop, work and study areas, 
and 7 laboratories. Furthermore, we put at your disposal, a modern 
gymnasium with dressing rooms, showers, lockers and ample sports 
fields for soccer, basketball, volleyball and tennis.


Monterrey
​​​​​​​The main campus is located in a modern industrial and business center only 230km far from the USA border. The city, also known as Sultana del Norte (Lady of the North), hosts a set of transnational conglomerates with 10 out of 20 of the most important Mexican firms located in Monterrey. The Campus has been designed to create the perfect environment motivating the engagement with intensive academic activity and research as well as recreation, and allowing the full innovative and entrepreneurial potential to flourish.

Students will learn and advance their skills taking two courses.

1. H1041 Music and Society
(Taught in English)

Upon completion of this course, students will have increased their aesthetic awareness and understanding of the world by studying historical contexts, studying musical works, reading texts, using diverse analysis tools, attending concerts and musical events and conducting research projects.


2. H3029 Overview of the Arts and Popular Cultures

(Taught in English)

Upon completion of this course, students will be able to describe the variety of popular cultural productions in Mexico and analyze the possibilities for sustainability of these activities.

$3600 USD for independent students.

and $1600 USD for exchange* students.
